AC Repair in Indianapolis, IN
AC blowing warm air, tripping the breaker, or running nonstop without cooling the house? Nate is a refrigeration-licensed technician who diagnoses residential AC problems honestly and repairs what can be repaired. Straight answers, no upsell to a system you don't need.
An Appliance Repair Tech Who Also Repairs AC Systems
Nate's background is appliance repair, and AC repair grew naturally out of his refrigeration license: the same core skill set that lets him diagnose a refrigerator's sealed system also applies to a home air conditioner's refrigerant circuit. We want to be straightforward about what that means for you.
What We Handle
- Diagnosing why an AC isn't cooling, cycling oddly, or tripping breakers
- Capacitors, contactors, fan motors, and other common component failures
- Refrigerant-circuit diagnostics, within his refrigeration license
- Thermostat and control issues affecting cooling
What We Don't Do
- We're not a full-service HVAC installation company
- We don't install new ductwork
- We won't promise a full system replacement is the answer before checking the simple stuff first
- If a job is outside our scope, we'll tell you plainly instead of taking it anyway
Common AC Problems We See in Indianapolis Homes
AC Runs But Doesn't Cool
Could be a refrigerant issue, a failing compressor, or a dirty condenser coil restricting heat transfer outside.
Short Cycling
Turning on and off frequently often points to a bad capacitor, a dirty filter, or a thermostat sensing issue.
Trips the Breaker
A failing capacitor, a seized compressor, or a wiring issue can all cause repeated breaker trips. Worth a same-day look.
Loud or Unusual Noise
Rattling, grinding, or squealing from the outdoor unit is typically a fan motor, loose part, or worn bearing.
Weak Airflow at the Vents
Often a clogged filter or a blower issue, occasionally a duct restriction we'll flag for you.
Ice on the Refrigerant Lines
Usually low refrigerant or restricted airflow across the indoor coil, both worth diagnosing before they damage the compressor.

AC Repair FAQ
No, and we won't pretend to be. Nate is an appliance repair technician with a refrigeration license who also repairs residential AC systems. We diagnose and repair AC problems; we don't install ductwork or run as a full HVAC installation company.
Common causes include low refrigerant, a dirty outdoor condenser coil, a failing capacitor, or a clogged filter restricting airflow. We check these in order, starting with the simplest and least expensive to rule out.
Not at this time. We focus on diagnosing and repairing the AC system you already have. If your unit truly needs replacement, Nate will tell you honestly during the diagnostic visit.
The visit starts with our standard $95 diagnostic fee. Once the cause is identified, you get a firm repair quote before any work begins. Move forward and that $95 comes off your bill. Decide not to fix it and the $95 still covers the visit.
We do our best to fit AC calls in same-day during peak season, based on the day's schedule. We respond to new calls within 30 minutes, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 7 days a week.
Comfort Systems We Also Cover
Serving Greenwood, Plainfield, Avon, Carmel, Fishers and the rest of the Indianapolis area.
