James B. Brown pushed into this stretch of Hendricks County in 1824 and found unbroken woods with little but hunters and trappers working it. The town counted just under 30,000 residents at the 2020 census and has not slowed down since, with roughly $90 million in new buildings and infrastructure going in along North Green Street, including The Arbuckle and the Brownsburg Town Center.
