Signs You Need a Repair Call

Common Washer Problems We Fix

If your washer is doing any of these, it's usually a specific, fixable part, not a reason to replace the whole machine.

Won't Drain or Spin

Water left in the drum at the end of a cycle usually points to a clogged or failing drain pump, a kinked drain hose, or a worn lid switch.

Banging, Thumping, or Squealing

Loud noise mid-cycle is often a worn drum bearing, a broken suspension spring, or a drive belt that's slipping.

Leaking Underneath or at the Door

A leak can come from a worn door boot gasket, a loose hose connection, a cracked tub, or a bad water inlet valve.

Won't Start or Stops Mid-Cycle

This can be a bad door lock switch, a tripped thermal fuse, or a control board issue. We test each one instead of guessing.

Won't Fill or Fills Slowly

Usually a clogged inlet screen, a failing water inlet valve, or a pressure switch that isn't reading the water level correctly.

Musty or Mildew Smell

Common on front-load machines with a buildup in the door gasket or detergent drawer, or a drain trap that needs cleared out.

What We Check

A Real Diagnosis, Not a Part-Swap Guess

Every washer call starts the same way: Nate opens the panel, runs the machine, and checks the components that actually cause the symptom you're seeing, including the drain pump, drive belt and motor coupler, door lock switch, water inlet valve, control board, bearings and seals, and (on front-loaders) the door boot gasket.

You get the honest answer, including when a repair doesn't make financial sense on an older machine. The $95 diagnostic fee covers that visit and the upfront quote. If you move forward with the repair, the $95 comes off your bill. If you decide it's not worth fixing, the $95 still covers Nate's time.

Questions We Hear a Lot

Washer Repair FAQ

Usually repair makes sense, especially for drain pumps, belts, switches, and inlet valves, which are common, affordable fixes. Nate will tell you honestly if the repair cost is getting close to the price of a new machine. That call is based on your specific washer, not a sales script.

Most often it's a clogged or worn-out drain pump, a kinked drain hose, or a lid switch that isn't telling the machine it's safe to spin. We check all three before replacing anything.

Yes, both. We repair Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Amana and more, on front-load, top-load, and stacked laundry center units.

The visit starts with a $95 diagnostic fee. After Nate identifies the exact problem, you get a firm quote for the repair before any work begins, no guessing and no surprise add-ons at pickup. Move forward with the repair and the $95 goes toward that quote. Decide not to fix it and the $95 still covers the diagnostic visit.

Usually, yes, based on the day's schedule. We respond to new calls within 30 minutes and fit washer calls in same-day whenever we can, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 7 days a week.
